Exercise

My most favorite thing to do is be active. It makes me feel so alive! & That is how it should be!

Exercise should never be abused because just like anything, too much is very harmful to our bodies.

First thing to understand about exercise is that just like diet, there is no perfect way to do it. It's about finding what works for you and your body. Finding balance.

I'm going to try to give you information and exercises that have personally helped me.

These are my favories ways to exercise:
  • Running!
  • Walking & Hiking
  • Cycling
  • Kayaking
  • Yoga
  • Insanity Workout DVD's
  • Stretching
  • Gymnastics(I did gymnastics for about 5 years, but its been a few years since I have done it)
  • Horse back riding (rarely, but I love it & I wish I owned a horse I could ride)
  • Trampoline WorkoutsSwimming
Running is probably the exercise I mostly do, I usually run 2-6 miles depending on the day. Currently, the most I have run with out walking is 5 miles! This PR was set just a few weeks ago! Although it was a very good day, I hope to be able to do this more often.

On average I make sure I exercise at least 6 days a week for at least 30 minutes to an hour or more.
Just like what I eat, I try to mix things up everyday. If I do the same thing every day I get bored VERY easily.

ALSO I make sure I'm doing something that is fun, exercise should not be a punishment. ever. It should be a fun way of feeling great and healthy!

I love the happy endorphins from high intensity workouts!
However, from experience, I recommend not doing high intensity workouts everyday because it could lead to injuries very easily. (I have had problems with pain in the shins, knees, ankles, feet, etc.)

It is also VERY important to FUEL your workouts. Exercising without proper nutrition can also lead to injuries and physical and mental imbalance. Make sure to always plan ahead so you can fuel your workouts.

Also be sure to always hydrate properly. It is very easy to get dehydrated, so aim for at least 2-4 liters of water per day, of course the exact amount depends on your height, weight, exercise, age etc.
